Our refrigerator is mounted in a 2017 Thor Chateau RV on an E-450 Ford chassis. It has been in the off position throughout winter months. It is plugged into a 30AMP - 120VAC shore power at my home. I restarted it at 0800 hours this morning. The (not measured) freezer gets really cold. The issue is at 1700 hours, (9) hours later, the lower section of the refrigerator only lowers to 50 degrees. The control knob is turned to coldest position. There is nothing inside but a few soda cans. I know this is not normal, last year we saw 38 degrees in the lower refrigerator section. (not the freezer)

Hello James, thank you for reaching out to us. We would suggest giving the refrigerator a full day to adjust before making temperature changes. Turn your freezer's airflow control to the recommended setting rather than MAX!. Max settings freeze the damper, preventing cool air from circulating to the lower section. Check the refrigerator temperature sensor, part number PS11739216 and the control thermostat, part number PS11755844. Make sure they are properly connected. Level the RV: off-level parking causes the cooling unit's fluids to pool, severely inhibiting the cooling process. Ensure your RV is level. Check that the fresh food door is sealing properly so warm outside air isn't entering. We hope this information helps!

Compressor comes on for a few seconds and goes off. It is barely cooling

Thank you for your question. If the compressor stays on for a few seconds and then turns off, the issue may be with the capacitor. It provides the voltage required to start the compressor and keep it running and allows the compressor to easily cycle on and off. This capacitor mounts directly onto the compressor start relay. If the capacitor is faulty the compressor may get unusually hot and draw excessive amperage. It the compressor overheats, it may fail to run until it cools down again. You will need to test it for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting to see if it is operating normally. Before removing and checking any part on your refrigerator, unplug it from the electrical outlet. The capacitor carries a charge. To discharge it, use a screwdriver with an insulated handle and place the metal portion of the screwdriver on the terminals for a few seconds. Then place the probes on the terminals. The reading you should receive will vary from model to model, and may be indicated on the outside of the capacitor, or in your owner’s manual. If your test does not produce the reading the manufacturer recommends, you need a replacement capacitor. If your tests do produce the recommended readings you may have a defective compressor, which will need to be tested by a qualified professional as it is a live circuit test. We hope this helps!

Removed the fan blade from fan motor,which was press fitted on,then removed fan motor from bracket assembly(make sure and retain the two vibration rubber washers on back and front of motor. I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
