Our refridgerator is freezing our food. It was first only happening at the bottom of the refrigerator, now it's happening all over. I adjusted the thermostat over two weeks ago the lowest setting (all they way to the left) and nothing has changed, food is still freezing

I have silver flakes in ice cubes. What would be the problem?

Silver or gray flakes in ice cubes usually indicate a mechanical issue, such as a worn protective coating on the ice maker's coils, degrading internal bearings, or a scraping auger grinding against the metal walls of the machine.
