Water Inlet Valve

The water inlet valve is also known as the water inlet valve assembly and is compatible with your refrigerator. The function of this part is to release water from the supply line when activated, and send it through to your water dispenser in your refrigerator. To make this repair you will need an adjustable wrench, a quarter inch nut driver, and a sharp utility knife. Before you begin this repair make sure to disconnect the power supply to your refrigerator, as well as disconnect the inlet water supply from the back of the refrigerator. Note that this part may appear different than the original, but is an authorized manufacturer replacement.

Run Capacitor

The run capacitor helps the compressor kick on and off while maintaining a constant temperature in your fridge and freezer. I removed the top shelf in the fridge. I then unscrewed the cover to the water filter and pulled the filter cartridge down into the cover. Keep the cover upright as there may be some water in it.
