My ice maker and water dispenser are not working. I checked the line going into the door and it is clear. Is there a way to pull codes or troubleshoot?

Hi Al, Thank you for your question. If your refrigerator is not dispensing water or ice, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the door switches, the dispenser control board and the main electronic control board. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

the water and ice dispenser is hard to work.
For model number WRF989SDAM03
PartSelect logo
Hi Mitch, thank you for your inquiry. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the following parts: dispenser actuator pad, part number PS11770306, and dispenser ice chute and motor assembly, part number PS11756507. If this does not solve the issue, then you may need to check the dispenser control board. The control board for your model comes in two variations: black control board, part number PS11765236, and silver control board, part number PS11765251. We hope this information is useful!

Lights inside refrigerator not working
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.

Ice dispenser motor burnt out, water got inside.
Purchased new motor from Partselect.com. When it arrived it came with a new rubber washer that fitted on top of new motor that was not on old motor, that how water got into old motor. However, the instruction sheet did not give info on how to access the proper way to the motor that is the door. Not wanting to damage the freezer door assy. called in a tech who made it look easy, but even he had a little problem locating access panel that was directly under the motor in the freezer side of the door. After that it was a piece of cake.

while closing the door, the light switch fouled, resulting in the switch breaking
I used a flat screwdriver and released the lock tab on the bottom of the light switch, and pried the switch out, being careful to not damage the plastic around the mounting place of the switch, unplugged wiring from old switch, plugged in the new one and pushed the new switch into place. Job finished light switch now working.
