Part #4317943
This ice maker (Complete Icemaker Assembly, Whirlpool Icemaker Kit, Ice Maker Assembly, Refrigerator Ice Maker, Icemaker) receives water from the water inlet valve, freezes it, and dispenses it into the ice bucket until the bucket is full. Ice makers will need to be replaced every 3-10 years depending on the frequency of usage, and water quality. You can perform a voltage test with a multimeter or perform an inlet valve test. If you’re unable to make ice, or notice leaks then it may be a sign your ice maker is damaged and could be in need of a replacement. This model measures approximately 11x5 inches, is constructed of plastic and metal, and comes in black/silver. This ice maker is a complete assembly; the whole assembly attaches to the wall of your freezer. ***NOTE: Ice maker does NOT come with the bail or shut off arm. You must order them separately if required. It does come complete with flat and round plug wiring harness, the mounting hardware, and the instructions. The harness can be reused. This capacitor (Refrigerator and Freezer Compressor Run Capacitor, Run Capacitor) provides the voltage or energy current required to start the compressor and keep it running. It allows the compressor in your appliance to easily cycle on and off. This capacitor mounts directly onto the compressor starting relay. If the capacitor is faulty the compressor may get unusually hot and draw excessive amperage. It the compressor overheats, it may fail to run until it cools down again. The compressor may also get noisy from overheating. If this part is totally electrically open, it is defective (often due to overheating) and needs to be replaced. The part measures 1 inch by 1-1/2 inches, and is constructed of plastic with two metal wire terminals. This item includes 1 capacitor, sold individually. This part comes in black.

Chris Boyle Profile
Hi Richard, thank you for reaching out. It appears that your refrigerator may have a damaged right door hinge, part number PS16660559. This hinge holds the door from the top side. Right door will not close unless I lift the door up off the hinge to close. I see others are having this issues but not sure which part I need to order
Chris Boyle Profile
Hi Genia, Thank you for your question. If the right side door is not closing, you will need to check right center door hinge, the shim, the upper right hinge, the hinge bracket, and the door cam. We hope this helps!

Water leaking on floor from right bottom front corner. Happens about twice a day.
Chris Boyle Profile
Hello Melvin, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model you have provided and we would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: the drain/drip pan, the drain water tube, the drain tube that leads to the drain line, the water tube connectors, and the water inlet valves. If the drain pan is overflowing, that can also indicate a secondary issue as the water is supposed to be evaporated by the condenser fan and evaporator, or too much water may be flowing into the pan from the defrost cycle. You can check the water inlet valves with a multimeter and inspect them for any visible damage. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Stephen - For model number WRF560SEYM04

I am trying to remove the freezer drawers...but all the videos I find don't match the type of drawer we have. The drawer has a top bin and a bottom bin. The problem is that the top bin has a track that it follows in the center of the top of the bottom bin. I want to remove both, but I can't find any tabs/screws etc. to press or remove to get the drawers out.
Chris Boyle Profile
Hi Stephen, thank you for getting in touch. We have attached some relevant instructions, which may not be of the exact same model, but will help you while removing the freezer drawers. In order to remove the upper freezer basket, slightly tilt up the front of the basket and remove it. You will have access to the lower freezer basket. Release the tabs to remove it from the rails and lift it upwards to remove. We hope this solves your problem!

I backed out the 2 top screws about a quarter inch and then removed bottem screw with a quater inch nut driver. I then lifted Ice Maker clear of the two top screws and lowered it enough to unclip the power connection with a small screwdriver. The new Ice Maker was wired correctley for my refrigeator so all I had to do wea reconnect the power connection and mount new Ice Maker on the two top screws and install the bottem screw. It took e while for the new Ice Maker to start it's cycle but after it did, it worked GREAT. Part Select service was OUTSTANDING, ordered part one day and received the next. THANKS!!!!

I knew the chances of all the freon leaking out was unlikely so I looked at the wiring to the compressor and there was a capacitor and a starter/overload so i figured I would start there. I went on line and found the parts at this site and they were less than the minimum service call charge for a service tech so I figured what the heck le t's give her a shot so I did give it a shot. I ordered the parts and they were there in less time than a service tech could come out and i installed the parts and guess what for 90.00 in parts and 15 minutes in time I repaired my refrigerator. Thanks guys, It took less time to order the parts than it did to make the repair so thanks, your website rocks and is very well designed so my hat is off to you guys!

No Ice in the Ice Maker

I am NOT a handyman, and my family laughed at me when I said I was going to fix the ice maker all by myself. I ordered a replacement ice maker. When it arrived, I opened the box and read the instructions. It seemed easy. I removed the old ice maker, with a socket set. I then took off the shut off lever from the old one and placed it on the new one, since the new one didn't come with it. I then put the new one in place. All the parts fit perfectly. The ice machine was making ice within an hour. My family was amazed... and I got the last laugh!
