I have had my refrigerator five and half years. I have had to replace the light 3 times, now going on 4 times. I am wondering if other people are having the same issue with their Whirlpool refrigerator the same model ? It seems like the light should last at least six months to a year .

Hi Esther, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the most probable cause of the mentioned issue is the control board, part number PS12070401. A failing control board can send incorrect signals or have power issues that cause intermittent lighting problems. We hope this helps.
Pressed in the end of the filter cover, lowered it down part way. Twisted the old filter 1/4 turn and removed it. Set in the sink to drain. Inserted new filter and twisted it to lock. closed cover. Done. Total time @ 1 Minute.
Removed the fruit & veggie drawers & the deli (pantry) drawer. Took out the 3 screws, removed the attached parts, put them on the replacement part, reattached it and put the drawers back in.

Remove food off of lower shelf, remove the two produce drawers, remove large lower drawer, remove glass shelf, remove three screws holding end cap in place.
