Our fridge is a Whirlpool WRB322DMBB03, and it's making a noise like a fan blade hitting something when it first starts up, then it smoothes out and the noise disappears.
I checked the black 6 bladed fan that's positioned over the tray in the rear lower compartment but it's not that one, so it must be the evaporator fan blade.
My question is, how do you access the evaporator fan?
For model number WRB322DMBB03
Hello Nick, thank you for the question. Based on the description you have provided, the issue is most probably with the evaporator fan blade, part number PS11738973. We are providing you with the instructions that will help you to access the evaporator fan blade.
1- Pull the freezer drawer out.
2- Remove the screws securing the basket of the freezer drawer.
3- Disconnect the wires of door switch.
4- Remove the screws securing the back panel.
5- Now you have access to the evaporator fan blade.
We hope this helps!
