The 40w (under the mw) bulb burned out. Replaced, but now it is constantly on and the comtrol panel has no control over it. The control panel does indicate full, half, and off, but has no control over the light.

While pre-heating our floor oven below, I placed a bowl of turkey parts in the microwave. Could not shut off microwave while it was cooking and had to pull the power cord. Nothing else would shut down the microwave. After a while, I would plug the cord back in and the problem would continue. This code was appearing in the display "fie 4". Very scary! This was last thurs. So I don't remember if the fan came on due to the heat rising from below (the floor oven). We went out of town for 3 days. Upon return, the microwave oven now seems to be working ok. What could have caused this condition? I suddenly don't trust this unit anymore. A very dangerous condition indeed! Thank you and regards

Hello Ron, Thank you for the question. The Error is actually F1 E4 error code. There may be a problem with the Microwave Power Relay, or the associated wiring. Resetting the power by unplugging the appliance shoudl fix the issue. If the error comes back and the wiring is good, you may need to replace the Board, PartSelect Number PS11754694. Hope this helps!

Door switch inconsistent operation for Open/Close sensing.
Ordered top & bottom micro-switches and mounting plate parts. Internet reviews could not find specifics if the issue was due to a top/bottom or combination of micro-switch or mounting plate failure. Pulled the plug. Removed the top vent assembly cover held in by 2 Phillips screws inside the vent. Removed the control panel held in by 1 P

hillip screw at the top vent assembly area. Lifted control panel upward to release the catch and moved it off to the side - didn't disconnect any leads. Used a Torx bit to remove the door switch mounting plates at the front and pulled the plates through the opening from the control panel. Documented the wire color code connections, the top plate uses 2 micro's with one using both the closed & open contact. Installed the respective micros on the mounting plates and worked backwards with the wiring and removal steps. Once completed, the open/close sensing has worked every time.
