Part #4280EN4001C
The tub bearing supports the spin basket shaft at the back of the washing tub. If your washing machine will not spin, is leaking water, or if there is a loud screeching noise during the wash cycle, there could be an issue with the tub bearing. This genuine OEM replacement bearing has a 3-inch outer diameter, and is used to help the tub spin smoothly and to stop the washing machine from shaking during the cycle. NOTE: This part is very difficult to install. The manufacturer recommends replacing the complete rear tub and bearing assembly at the same time.

This is an outer seal clamp designed for use within LG washing machines. This clamp tightens and secures the gasket that seals the washer tub from the door. If your gasket is loose fitting and is not damaged or warped, this clamp is likely worn out and in need of replacing. This clamp is an OEM part and is made entirely of metal, with a strong tension spring in the middle. This outer seal clamp is sold individually and will require a set of pliers to replace.

This hook locker, commonly referred to as a door lock strike is specially designed for LG washers. It is a small, metal plate that is attached to the washer door. When the door is closed it engages with the door lock mechanism to keep the door securely shut while the washer is running. If it is damaged, worn down, or corroded, it will be unable to engage with the locking mechanism and prevent your washer from closing or staying shut. You may notice that your washer will not start or stops running mid-cycle. You will need to replace the door strike to fix the washer.

Part #EBF61315802
This is a door lock switch, compatible with various models of LG washing machines. This door lock switch is designed to communicate to the control board when the door of the washer is closed, so the door can lock and allow the washing cycle to safely begin. If your washer is having difficulty locking before it begins its washing cycle, or if it has difficulty starting in general, you may need to replace this lock switch. This switch is made primarily of black, gray, and white plastic, and will require a screwdriver/drill, and a pair of needle nose pliers to replace. This door switch is a genuine OEM part that will require you to disassemble part of your washing machine to completely replace it.

BOLT ASSEMBLY
Part #FAA31690704
This is a bolt shipping assembly made for LG washing machines. This bolt is made to hold the washer tub and basket in place while it is transported, to prevent any damage to the internal components of the washer. This specific bolt is 4.5 inches long, although there are three different lengths of bolts, this one being the shortest. Depending on the needs of your model, you will need this bolt and one of the other two. This bolt is an OEM part that comes individually, so consider ordering two since you will need at least two bolts if you do not already have them.

Part #MDS62058301
This part is the replacement rear tub gasket for your washer. It is made of black plastic and is approximately 3-1/4 inches in diameter. The rear tub gasket forms a watertight seal between the rear tub and the drive shaft. If the gasket is worn or damaged, it may not be able to create this seal, and you may experience a water leak from your washer. Be sure to disconnect the washer from the water and power sources before you begin this repair. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer and it is sold individually.

washer shows error code U6 unbalance wash, does all time no matter what we put in washer, assuming my springs or bolts may be broke, not seeing part
Chris Boyle Profile
Hello Jason, thank you for getting in touch. The U6 (unbalanced) error code on a washer indicates worn suspension springs or struts. If it happens even with small or no loads, the tub cannot stabilize. You need to inspect and replace the suspension springs, part number PS3524578. The spring becomes loose over time due to which the washer balance is disturbed. We hope this helps.

Washer did not recognize the door was shut
9 of 10 people found this instruction helpful.
  • CURTIS from OLIVE BRANCH, MS
  • Really Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Nutdriver, Screw drivers
I removed the Wire and spring from the tub seal and then removed the seal on the side of the washer that contains the Door switch. I removed the two screws that held the door switch in place while holding the switch with my other hand. Once the screws where out I pulled the switch assembly out thru the gap and removed the wires from old assembly. I then plugged the wires into the new assembly aligned the holes up and put the screws back in the new door switch assembly. I then put the door seal and tub seal holder back on. This took about 15 minutes. I do recomend that you unplug the washer before starting this process.

  • Marcia from TROY, OH
  • Very Difficult

Installed correctly but PartsSelect sent WRONG part, but part number on bag was correct. Installation of WRONG part fried the main board. A $100 fix is now costing me about $1300.00 for technician service and new unit. I asked PartsSelect to help with cost since outcome is due to their error. Totally unsatisfied. Will not suggest company to other DIYers.
