It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty belt drive PS8702358 and/or possibly a malfunctioning drain pump PS8695685, you should check the part(s) for signs of damage, and replace as necessary. The machine stops running intermittently. it then has to be restarted at the same place it was at in the cycle. what part do I need? thx
