the grinder runs when the switch is pushed but the variable speed switch doesn't effect the RPM when it's turned

Hi Jerry, thank you for reaching out. This problem is likely caused by a faulty component in the grinder's speed control circuit, which is no longer communicating with the motor. We would suggest checking the electronic unit, part number PS12043690. We hope this solves your problem!
