TDC18PAABRBS General Electric Refrigerator - Overview

Hello Yan, thank you for getting in touch. To access the defrost thermostat, you may need to remove the screws and gently pull the panel. We hope this helps!

Hi Mihai, thank you for your question! This is a very common issue, and it means that your defrost drain line has frozen over and will need to be thawed out. This often times happen for no reason at all and is just random. You will need to remove everything out of your freezer and remove/unscrew the back panel inside the freezer. You will see silver evaporator coils that look like a radiator in a car. Use a hair dryer to thaw all the ice out and locate the drain hole directly in the middle below the silver coils. Pour hot water down the drain hole until it is draining properly again. Once it is draining, properly blow compressed air down to make sure it is clear. If you do not have compressed air, use a turkey baster to make sure the drain line is clear and draining properly. Then you will be good to go again. If this does not help, we would recommend checking the defrost timer, part number PS310852. We hope that helps!
