FUSE-THERMAL – Part Number: 00414633

FUSE-THERMAL
Part #00414633
This thermal fuse is a safety device designed to protect ovens from overheating. It is sourced from the original manufacturer, and it has a red button in the center which is used to reset the fuse. When the temperature reaches a set threshold, the internal component of the fuse breaks which interrupts the circuit and shuts off the power to the appliance. This protects the appliance and surrounding area from potential harm. To check if the fuse is no longer functioning, first remove the wires from the terminals and use a multimeter to test the fuse for continiuity. You will need to replace the fuse if there is no continutiy. To remove the fuse, disconnect the wiring connectors, and remove the mounting screws that secure it to the oven. Place the new fuse in position and reattach the wiring connects and mounting screws.

LOCK-ELECTRICAL – Part Number: 00489102
No Longer Available
LOCK-ELECTRICAL
Part #00489102
This electrical lock, more commonly known as a door latch or door lock mechanism, is sourced from the original manufacturer for use in ovens. The assembly includes the latch, motor, and control switches. It is a safety mechanism that keeps the oven door securely shut when the user selects the self-cleaning cycle or when cooking at very high temperatures. It protects the user from burns and prevents heat from escaping the oven. The lock mechanism can fail due to normal aging, physical damage, or faulty wiring. If the mechanism is faulty, the door will not close or lock, and you will be unable to use the self-cleaning feature in your oven. You will need to remove the oven door or access panel to access the door lock mechanism. Disconnect any wiring connectors and remove the faulty components. Install the new lock mechanism components and reattach the wiring connectors. Secure the new lock mechanism with the appropriate fasteners to complete your repair.
