So for the past few months i've had this on and off issue with my chainsaw continuing to spin after I have fliped the kill switch. I recently sent it off to be looked at but the problem still persists. What should I be looking for and testing to ensure my safety while using this thing?

Hello Taylor, thank you for reaching out to us. Even though you flipped the switch, the engine will not stop if the grounding circuit is compromised. Disconnect the engine cover and check the wires leading from the kill switch to the ignition coil. Look for pinched wires, corrosion, or completely disconnected terminals. The switch, part number PS18789368, itself can fail and fail to complete the electrical "ground" that kills the engine. You can use a standard multimeter set to continuity to test if flipping the switch creates a closed circuit. We hope this information helps!
