Fridge and freezer stopped cooling. Code 6 was flashing on door panel. Have unplugged for a few hours and then plugged back in and set temperature. Can hear a humming but not working.
For model number RFG298AARS
Hi Yvette,
Thank you for your question. This error code indicates there is an issue with the temperature sensors. You will need to remove and test them for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting to see if they are operating normally. Before removing and testing these parts, unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet. Before testing the sensors, they will need to placed in ice water for 5 minutes to bring the temperature to 32 degrees F. Once the sensors are at the correct temperature, test them with the multimeter. You should receive a reading of 16,600 ohms (+/- 5 percent).
If you receive a reading outside this range, you will need a replacement temperature sensor. We hope this helps!

Hello Gary, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the following parts first. Those parts are Assembly COVER-SENSOR;COMBI- Part Number: PS4170943, COVER RELAY;NORYL,T2.0,S Part Number: PS4148896, Compressor Overload Protector Part Number: PS4138715. If those parts are ok, the issue could be with one of the main boards in the unit. I hope this helps.

There are no errors on the refrigerator the board light is not blinking at all is staying with and it tells me that there’s nothing wrong with the refrigerator but the icemaker quit working and the refrigerator is losing its cool could it be low on freon
For model number RFG298AARS
Hello Gary, thank you for your question. The freon is probably not the issue. We would recommend testing the fridge, and freezer temp sensors, which are Assembly COVER-SENSOR;COMBI- Part Number: PS4170943, and SENSOR TEMP;502AT,ACE,-1 Part Number: PS4138673. If those parts are ok, we would recommend testing damper, and evaporator fan motor. I hope this helps.

Came home and the house breaker was kicked off-I reset it and the fridge stopped cooling. I couldn't hear the compressor engage and I ran the troubleshooting. The LED light on the PCB board is off completely and I am thinking it is a a bad PCB board not the main control board?
For model number RFG298AARS
Hello Brandon, thank you for reaching out. We would suggest testing the Control Board for continuity with a multimeter. If there is no continuity, replace it with part number PS4139981. If that does not help, we would recommend checking the Evaporator Fan Motor, part number PS4138376. We hope this sorts out your problem!

Left side French Door flap on Samsung refrigerator didn't retract when closing.
OMG seriously! I stopped into my go-to appliance repair shop to ask about what might be needed to repair the problem with my refrigerator door. They said you will need to replace the Mullion Flap piece. Cost would be $250-300 with part, labor and service. I went on line to see if I could handle the repair process myself. I found a How to

Installation Video Incorrect
The installation video notes that the door mullion spring has a bent end, and that the bent end of the spring is to be inserted into the LOWER hinge. However, on my refrigerator door, the bent end of the door mullion spring must be inserted into the UPPER hinge in order for the door to function properly. (Also noted that in your video t

he installer manually closed the door mullion rather than just closing the refrigerator door, another indication that the installation of the spring was incorrect.) After watching the video several times to confirm I was installing the door mullion spring according to the video instructions, I tried inserting the bent end of the door mullion spring into the upper hinge, which proved to be the correct installation of the door mull spring. What should have been a 5 minute repair turned into an ½ hour repair.

Broken Mullion Door spring-mullion remains open and must be manually folded in
Placed new spring pin and new spring in place with pliers-10 seconds tops. HOWEVER!! Your instruction video is INCORRECT. Spring must be placed opposite of video with bent side toward million otherwise million is flipped outward not held closed. Two frustrating days before I figured that out.
