My ice maker isn’t working. Will a bad door switch disable the ice maker? It seems that no water is going into the ice maker yet water flow is strong through the door.

Hello Jason, thank you for getting in touch. A bad door switch can indeed disable the ice maker as it is designed to stop the ice maker from operating when the door is open. Given that water flow is strong through the door, it is likely that the issue is not with the water supply. We would recommend checking the door switch, part number PS4138837, to solve the problem. Unscrewed 1 screw, removed panel, disconnected old icemaker and removed it, Added new icemaker, reconnected, replaced panel, replaced screw, & reset new icemaker.
