There is a bad odor when the dryer is on. Even if it is set with no heat, it stinks. I have taken everything apart and cleaned it, except for the motor. I have used baking soda and bleach to clean and try and remove the odor and my dryer still smells bad. How can i get the smell out, or is there a part i need to replace like the heating element? Thank you for your time.

Hello Jessica, thank you for your question. Try pouring white vinegar in a spray bottle, then spray to dampen a few towels with the vinegar. Put the towels in the dryer and run a drying cycle. The vinegar is an efficient odor reducer, so it can help remove the moldy smell. Wash the towels afterward so they don't smell like vinegar when you're ready to use them. If that doesn't work, you may want to replace the heating element and heating duct may need to be replaced. I hope this helps.

On the automatic dry cycle there is no hea at all, therefore does not dry. The time dry cycle has heat and will dry. Help please. Thank you. Lillian

Hello, thank you for your question. Looking at your model information there are a few parts that you should take out and test to see which one is giving you the issue. The first parts to check in this case would be all of your thermostats and thermal fuses. You can test those parts with a multi meter and they should be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. If those parts are fine, you should then go on to testing your heating element as well. You can also test that with a multi meter and it should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms. Something else you should also check would be your filter and ducts. Make sure there is absolutely no blockage that would restrict air flow in your appliance. I hope that helps. My dryer won't dry my clothes on high heat

Hi Donna, thank you for reaching out. We have researched and found that the issue is probably because of a clogged dryer vent. We would recommend checking the vent if it is clogged or blocked. If the vent is clean, then you may have blocked or damaged lint filter, part number PS16744854. You may need to clean the filter or replace to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

My dryer stopped heating and I have changed the heating element, thermal fuse, and installed a thermal cut off kit and it still does not get hot. What else could be wrong with it to cause this?

Hello James, thank you for contacting us. As you have already replaced the parts that you mentioned, we would suggest checking the cycling thermostat, part number PS11741405, to fix the issue. It monitors and regulates the temperature inside the dryer. We hope this sorts out your problem!
First I unplugged the dryer, then removed the back panel, this exposed most all of the wiring and I could see the heater coils. Not knowing what the problem was I started looking at the coils and could not see any broken parts. So then checked the thermal fuse for continuity I removed the two wires from it with a small pair of

Read moreneedle nose pliers, it was held in place by two screws, once they were removed the fuse came out easily, I checked continuity with a volt meter placing the meter on X1 Ohms and could not get a reading. I replaced with a new one and put it all back together the way I took it apart. Then I plugged it in and it worked first time, I now have warm dry clothes.
To reach the heating element you only need to open the back cover of the dryer (about 8 nut-head screws). Remember to disconnect the power.
To remove the heating element there are two small nut-head screws. Remove the two electric wires. Then you can pull the heating element away.

Don't hurry to dispose the old element. My model includes a small electric safety part. You'll need to transfer it to the new heating element (that comes without it)..
Cleaning the lint out of the whole machine took quite a bit of time--it was everywhere. Underneath the lint trap was a collection that ultimately ruined the thermal fuse where it restricted the air flow considerably.
