unit would not run at all but would turn on
They sent the wrong part even though I gave the unit model number and part number of the part.I described the part and gave the name used by the manufacture on the schematic from the back of the unit. The second person I spoke with to reorder the correct part took more time in understanding that a temp limiter is not the same as a temp sensor. The part is located on the inside back wall of the dryer behind the drum. It all had to come apart to get to it but was very easy even without the service manual.Unplug the unit. Remove the 4 screws on the back that lock down the top and pop off the top prying against the spring clips, move it out of the way but remember that its still connected by wires on the inside of the back. disconnect the 2 wires going to the door switch. Remove the two screws holding the front panel on located on the top. Pull up on the panel lifting it off of the spade brackets. Reach in down below and remove the belt from the pulley and drum. Pull up on the drum about 1" and the drum will be free. remove the drum. In the upper right hand corner is where you will see the temp limiter. Remove the 2 screws and unplug the wires. Assembly is the reverse order except to install the belt remove the access panel on the lower left corner of the back of the unit to gain access to the belt for installation....
