What are teh causes of the oven not working?How can the heating element be tested before replacing via guessing.

Hello James, thank you for your question. If neither of the elements are turning on the issue would be with the thermostat or the oven control board. We would recommend testing each element as well as the sensor. The link on testing the bake/broil elements is below. https://www.partselect.ca/Range-Stove-Oven+Baking-Element-Testing+repair.htm The other part you should check would be your oven temperature sensor. That can also be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 1000 - 1100 ohms. If the thermostat and elements are fine,the electronic board should be replaced which is PS783551. I hope this helps.
