Part #DA63-02183A
This sensor cover, also known as the ice maker thermostat cover, is a genuine OEM replacement part for Samsung refrigerators. It is made of durable white plastic and has measurements of approximately 2.25 inches by 1 inch. The sensor cover is responsible for protecting the ice maker thermostat from contaminants, ice build-up, water, and moisture which can prevent the thermostat from regulating the ice maker temperature properly. If your ice maker is producing ice very slowly and you also notice large clumps of ice in the ice tub, then the sensor cover is likely damaged, or it has fallen out of place. You will need to remove the freezer drawers to replace this part.

How do you adjust frig and freezer temps ?
Chris Boyle Profile
Hi Rick, thank you for your question! In order to adjust the freezer temperature, you may press the freezer button on the panel repeatedly to change the temperature in sequence between -14°F and 8°F. For the fridge temperature, press the fridge button repeatedly to change the temperature in sequence between 34°F and 46°F. We hope this information is useful!

Water leaking into the fridge bottom bins as well into freezer inner floor causing door to not shut once ice accumulates. Seems to leak fairly high on inside behind middle cover.
Chris Boyle Profile
Hi Walt, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, the most likely cause is a clogged or frozen defrost drain. When the drain becomes blocked, water from the defrost cycle cannot flow to the drain pan, causing it to leak into the refrigerator bottom bins and freezer floor. As ice accumulates, it can interfere with the freezer door closing properly. Since the leak appears to be coming from behind the middle cover, inspect the evaporator drain area and defrost drain passage for ice or debris buildup. Clearing the drain and ensuring proper drainage can help resolve the issue. We hope this helps!

Have not done installation yet. Trying to figure out what to do since the part did not come with the plastic cover to go in front of the LED temp readouts. Part does no good without the cover.
