Reset filter light came on. Can’t seem to find info on where the filter is to change. Does this model have a charcoal filter? Just bought it 6 months ago
For model number PVM9005SJ8SS
Hello John, thank you for your inquiry. According to our research, the red LED indicator will light every 6 months as a reminder to replace the charcoal filter. After replacing the charcoal filters, hold the rest filter for 3 seconds to turn off the red LED indicator. The charcoal filter for your model is part number PS2355813. It is located at the center of the grille. You may need to open the microwave oven door and push the push area on the charcoal filter cover at the center of the grille. Press back on the top of the filter with both hands until the filter lays down almost horizontal. Lift the filter at the bottom until it comes free of the tabs. Slide the filter down and out. We hope this information helps!

Microwave will count down time and the turntable spins but no heat
For model number PVM9005SJ8SS
Hello Laura, thank you for contacting us. If your microwave's turntable is spinning and the timer is counting down, but it is not heating, it could be due to a few potential issues:
1. Magnetron Failure: The magnetron is the component that generates the microwaves that heat the food. If it fails, the microwave will not heat.
2. Door Switch: If the door switch is faulty, the microwave might not operate correctly, even if the door appears to be closed properly.
3. Capacitor or Transformer Issues: These components are part of the high-voltage circuit that powers the magnetron. If either is faulty, the microwave will not heat.
4. Diode Failure: The high-voltage diode converts the AC power output of the transformer to DC, doubling the voltage to nearly 5,000 volts. If the diode burns out, the magnetron won’t receive enough voltage to operate, preventing the microwave from heating. If the previous steps do not resolve the issue, then we would recommend replacing the diode, part number PS16219547, to solve the problem. Glad to be of assistance!

Microwave would turn on and count down, but not heating and not rotate turntable. Pressing door up would occasionally start heat.
First I disconnected the power and opened the door. Then I removed the top screws holding the top vent louvers, then removed the screw at the top of the touch pad. The touch pad removes by sliding up slightly then tilting top out. I unscrewed two screws holding the door latch assembly. Press the tab to remove and replace switch. Reco

Microwave runs with the door open
Remove microwave outer cover. Turn on side & locate the upper & lower door switches. Better to replace in pairs even if one is ok. Remove the wire harness to each switch. Then replace switch and re connect the wire harness. Re attach outer cover
and test to see if that solved the problem. If so then well done!!

Microwave made loud buzz noise and did not heat
I followed the generic trouble shooting directions on the web site. It suggested either diode, capacitor and/or magnetron. I test each. All tested OK except diode. It was supposed to measure open in one direction and appox 200k ohms in the other direction. My diode measured open in both directions (tried multiple times, multiple sett

ings). I replaced the diode. The order process was great and it shipped immediately. I knew I was in trouble when I measured the new diode and it too was open in both directions. It was easy to install but unfortunately no joy - did not solve the problem. At this point it is likely cheaper just to buy a new one
