Surface Element - 6" - 240V

If you notice that your surface element will not heat properly, you may need to replace it. This surface element is 6 inches in diameter and 240V. It is a Y-frame surface burner element with five turns and a metallic center medallion. When completing this repair, if you notice any signs of corrosion or overheating on the terminal, you may want to consider replacing the terminal block as well as the surface element. Many of our customers have rated this repair as easy. To complete this repair, simply tilt the old element up and remove it, and then replace it with your new one.

Infinite Control Switch - 8"

This is an 8-inch infinite control switch, also known as surface element switch, for a range, oven, or stove. The infinite control switch maintains the heat of your surface burner. Be sure to disconnect power to your range before starting this repair. This part is made of metal and plastic, and is metallic and white in color. This is an OEM replacement part sourced directly from the genuine manufacturer. This switch is sold separately. It is recommended to check all four infinite switches in your appliance, if applicable, in case they should be replaced as well. Be sure to disconnect power to your appliance before starting this repair.

Sold Individually. This knob accepts a double-flat shaft.


Surface Burner Switch - 6"

This is a surface burner switch. It may also be known as an infinite control switch and it is used in conjunction with your range. The purpose of this part is to control the surface element off and on function. This part is off white in color and is used for the six-inch burner. This model measures to be roughly 2 inches wide, 3 inches long, and 2 inches thick. For this repair, you will need a Phillips screwdriver, a pair of needle-nose pliers, and a quarter-inch nut driver.

There was no heat on the coils.

I opened the lid, and found that the terminal blocks were burnt, the wires were melted. I ordered one set of terminal block to replace the burnt one, and it worked. Before I started, I shut off the electricity in the whole house to be safe. read more

Removed by slightly wiggling out of the coupling. No tools needed, seriously, (and I'm a contractor). Basically, pull out and snap back in. read more

TURN OFF ALL POWER TO KITCHEN. Took off all burner coils and plates below them. Lift hood. Locate part. Remove old part and replace with new part in same way as was previously installed. The wire that comes with the kit is actually too much wire, but just arrange it the best you can and leave it....no big deal. I didn't have a magnet, but needed one. T... read more
