Microwave is heating the dish i cook on. Are they suppose to be so hot i need to use a towel?

UNIT IS ARCHING SPARKS INSIDE CABINET WHERE MAGNETRON IS LOCATED. REPLACED MAGNETRON STILL DOING THE SAME THING, WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE.

finish part changeout and reinstallation of the unit in the cabinet to proceed. The old magnetron was the defective part. Discovery of the 10-year Parts-Only warranty on the less than 10-year old unit was insufficinet to guide me to take the unit in for their Labor bill to repair. New part in hand, it just was that easy - and assumed to be no less expensive.

Microwave ran but didn't heat
Opened up back, saw a part that was burnt, so looked it up, on the website, ordered it, removed it with 2 screws then installed new one, I cleaned up the connector and put it back together. It's been working for a week now. Easy fix!
