The purpose of the 590936005 Brake Skirt is to keep the sanding pad of the Random Orbit Sander at a slower speed so that the sander can sand the stock properly. A good time to replace the Brake Skirt is when you replace the sanding pad. Or replace it when the pad is spinning out of control at high RPM.

It is a high quality replacement part that is supplied from original equipment manufacturer for use with Ridgid random orbit sanders. This is one of the screws that are used to secure the sanding pad. Please note one durable metal Torx screw is included per order.
