The microwave is almost 2 years the circuit it’s on is fine also, the unit clock still works you can press the timer to start the microwave but when you press start it tripp’s the breaker.

I have replaced the fuse above the touch pad control. It was burned out it took a 20amp fuse which i have replaced twice and i set the clock, turned on the fan and also the light underneath the unit everything work fine. But when i put food in the oven and set the timer on the touch pad it keeps burning out the fuse.
Good Day Frank. Thank you for your question in regards to your unit (Model Number MWV150KBB). Based on our research, we have found the following information: 1) Your microwave has what engineers call interlock switches that disable the oven when the door is open. Malfunctioning interlock switches or a badly misaligned door can cause the fuses to blow. It's also possible the microwave's cooling fan may have failed, leading to overheating and melting the element in the fuse. Another possible problem is a short in the controller or near the line cord that feeds power into the microwave unit. 2) If you have a short in the controller or near the line cord, the new fuse usually blows again immediately. The fuse also blows again if there is a short in the microwave magnetron or generator, the part of the microwave that actually produces the microwave radiation to cook the food. The location of the generator depends on the model you have; typically it's located behind a perforated screen overlooking the chamber that houses your food. You can disconnect the generator by unplugging the wiring connecting it to the cavity thermal fuse and the other circuitry; the location of these elements depends on the model, so consult the manufacturer's instructions for details. The microwave will not heat food with the generator disconnected, but if you are able to select a cycle and initiate it as you normally would without blowing the fuse again, then the short may be within the generator itself. We would recommend checking all the high-voltage parts of the microwave. Check the diode, part number PS12071314, the transformer, part number PS2364425, and the magnetron, part number PS12705729. Does this model have an ceramic fuse other than the glass one in front of the control panel? A Overnight power surge blew the cooking surface bulb out of the screw in socket and tripped the panel breaker (house). The glass fuse appears o.k. and i traced the incoming power cord to the front power panel and don't see a ceramic or and other fuses. I Have power at the wall socket 120. Thanks.

We would recommend testing it for continuity. We would also recommend checking the control board, part number PS11726470, because it is the most vulnerable part in the event of a power surge. Remove vent cover then remove touch screen control panel. When you remove control panel take photo of where everything is plugged in then unplug and remove control panel. 3 door switches located next to door in a plastic chassis. Test each switch with current tester. Remove the bad switch and replace with the new one. You tube DIY helped.
