what is the normal resistance for the defrost heater element ? I have a defrost problem and I am told the heater has continuity, but resistance at 0.5 Ohm seems low...

Hello Jocelyn, thank you for contacting us. The normal ohm reading for the defrost heater ranges from 10 ohms to 150 ohms. It looks like the heater is defective. To confirm it check it again after allowing it to cool down. We hope this information is useful.
