My washer won't spin,it tries to but then it makes a grinding sound then doesn't do anything else

Hi Richard, thank you for the question. The issue is most common with the following parts: stator, part number PS10064559, rotor, part number PS10064560, and gearcase, part number PS12745232. We hope this information helps!
Machine is 3 years old. The fabric softener dispenser suddenly stopped dispensing. The dispenser was still full of fabric softener at the end of the load. The option for dispensing is illuminated so that is not the problem. And today, the fabric softener dispenser was filled with water at the end of the load. Any suggestions? Thx!

Hi Rhon, thank you for your question! Check the inlet hose screens to see if there are any blockages. If the washing machine does not have enough water pressure, the fabric softener will not drain. To check the screens, turn the water off with the water valves. Remove the hot and cold water hoses from the back of the washing machine. Use wire-stripping pliers or a suitable tool to remove the filters. Clean and reinstall the filters, and then reconnect the hoses. If the water supply is normal but the fabric softener is not being dispensed, dispenser draw may be clogged. If this does not solve the issue, you will need to replace the fabric dispenser, part number PS11730171. The dispenser itself may be malfunctioning, preventing it from releasing and draining properly. Good luck with your repair!
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

Get it in the seam then with two hands, each with an end of the shoelace, pull up on the baseplate. Success!! - Installed the new agitator with base plate and then used the ratchet set to tighten the bolt. Didn’t want to take a chance on stripping the bolt inside the agitator with the air impact when tightening.

... Read more accelerated rate. Transmission and Agitator should be replaced together, along with a new Agitator mounting bolt. There are plenty of video's online of how to do this repair so I won't get into that here. Just wanted to drop the above sage advice. Transmissions for these washers aren't cheap.
