I did not do the repair since the part shipped was not the correct one. I have contacted Customer Service by phone and mail and nothing has been resolved.
I would, at least, like to return the incorrect part. An new one would be great but not holding out hope.

didn't know if this was going to fix it, but i ordered a bake element anyway from a very frendly and knowledgeable lady in nova scotia whom i couldn't talk into coming down here to install it for me, but when the element arrived, i removed the oven door and removed the two grates, removed 2 screws from the element in the back of the oven

Read moreand pulled out the element. then hooked up the 2 wires to the new element and then had a slight problem getting the 2 screws reassembled, but got it done. pam prayed, and then baked some bread and it worked perfectly. i'm quite satisfied with one more problem solved!!! ready for the next one!!!
