This is an authentic manufacturer-sourced component which is specially designed for Craftsman trimmers. Its purpose is to filter out dust and debris from contaminating the carburetor and engine, unfortunately, over time it will wear out and may get clogged eventually requiring a replacement to maintain peak performance. When replacing the filter you can open the package in comes in and put a bit of two cycle oil in the bag and let it absorb into the filter. Then remove it from the bag and squeeze it with a paper towel to remove the excess oil. Keep in mind this high-quality foam filter is sold individually. Please make sure to refer to the owners manual for the correct location and application of this component.

Remove screws from cover insert New parts put everything back together making sure not damage electrical low voltage switch l.
