For model number MH6110XEQ1
Hi Lam,
Thank you for your question. If your microwave will not turn on, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the door switches, the diode and the magnetron. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
Where is the location of the Fuse on this model? It's an older model Whirlpool.
For model number MH6110XEQ1
Hello Walt, Thank you for your question. NOTE: If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, please get an electrician to do this repair. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet. Use a Phillips head screw driver to unthread the screws securing the grill. With the screws removed, open the microwave oven door then the slide the grill to the left and lift it up to remove. Next remove the control panel mounting screw then lift the control panel up to detach. Then remove the screw holding the inner access panel and then release the panel from the retaining clips. To avoid injury, you will need to release the potentially dangerous charge from the capacitor by placing a screw driver with an insulated handle across the terminals. Be careful not to touch the metal portion of the tool. Use pliers to detach the old fuse from the noise filter board. Install the new fuse by snapping it into the bracket. Replace the inner access panel and secure it with the screws. Now insert the control panel tabs to the slots in the frame and push the panel down. Secure it with the mounting screw. Insert the tabs of the grill into the frame and slide it to the right. Shut the oven door and then secure the grill with the screws. Plug the power cord back in and the microwave should now work. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.
