The control panel went blank after a power outage and won't come back on. When i press a button all the lights come on and then disappear. I tried to reset it which worked for a second and then went out. At this time the refrigerator is not cooling or freezing.
    For model number MFI2569YEM0
Hello and thank you for writing. We suggest to try a hard reset: Go to your breaker box and shut the breakers for your unit off, wait 5 minutes and then turn the breaker to on again. That should hopefully clear this problem. f this does not fix this problem then your control boards PS11752593 and PS10060177 might be faulty you would have to test them to determine which one is damaged and possibly needs to be replaced. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

Front panel flickering on and off intermittently and now fridge and freezer don't work. Also leaking water in front by left wheel and ice is on bottom of freezer.
    For model number MFI2569YEM0
Hello and thank you for writing. It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty capacitor PS11757023 or starter relay PS11750123 you should check the part(s) for signs of damage or test with a multimeter, and replace the part(s) as needed. If both of those parts check out ok then your main control board PS11752593might be defective. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

After a power outage, power came on but refrigerator won't. Front electronics panel has no lights unless i touch a button in which case all lights turn on momentarily. Compressor hasn't started running but the lights inside are working fine so it obviously has power. Any ideas on what to fix?

My fridge don't get cold. There is a pe ooo flashing on the dispenser door I tried to put in the code and it beeped and went back to flashing again
    For model number MFI2569YEM0
Hello Scott, Thank you for the question. The error code normally means the Control Board will need to be programmed. You will need to program the control board. Here are the instructions from the manufacture. Hope this helps. Service Specifications Programming Mode: NOTE: The Program Code is located on the Serial Plate on this unit after the word Code. 1. Press and hold the Door Alarm Keypad . 2. Press and hold Freezer Temperature Down Keypad . 3. Release the Door Alarm Keypad and wait 3 seconds. 4. The control will display PE to indicate the programming mode. 5. Entry is confirmed by pressing the Freezer Temperature Down Keypad once more. 6. The control will display the current Program CODE. This value should be validated with the Program CODE printed on the unit serial plate. NOTE: If the Program CODE is correct, the Programming Mode is exited by pressing Door Alarm Keypad for 3 seconds. 7. Press the Refrigerator Temperature Up Keypad or Refrigerator Down Keypad to change the digit value with each key press. 8. The decimal point indicates the selected digit. Press the Freezer Temperature Up Keypad to select the next digit. 9. Once the desired Program CODE is entered, press and hold the Freezer Temperature Down Keypad until the Program CODE begins flashing indicating it has been saved. NOTE: If you attempt to enter an invalid Program CODE the control will not save the new code, but will beep. (The unit will NOT run with a Program CODE of 0000).Once the Program CODE has been saved the Programming Mode is exited by pressing any key. If the new code is incorrect this process should be repeated. The Programming mode can be exited at any time by pressing Door Alarm key for 3 seconds or will exit if unattended for four minutes. Hope this helps!

Fridge making a loud noise and shuts off the gfi bout every 3 hours. The noise comes from the center of the fridge in the back
    For model number MFI2569YEM0
Hi Denise, thank you for your question. It sounds like you may have to take a look at your evaporator fan motor for being the source of the noise in your appliance. That would be this part here: PS11728128. Good luck with your repair.

My refrigerator stopped cooling and the freezer section stopped freezing
I knew the chances of all the freon leaking out was unlikely so I looked at the wiring to the compressor and there was a capacitor and a starter/overload so i figured I would start there. I went on line and found the parts at this site and they were less than the minimum service call charge for a service tech so I figured what the heck let's give her a shot so I did give it a shot. I ordered the parts and they were there in less time than a service tech could come out and i installed the parts and guess what for 90.00 in parts and 15 minutes in time I repaired my refrigerator. Thanks guys, It took less time to order the parts than it did to make the repair so thanks, your website rocks and is very well designed so my hat is off to you guys!

Removing the existing filter by rotating as directed and then dislodging from 'docking' station proved difficult. Turns out, the old filter is under a bit of vacuum pressure and getting the unit to separate or release was a challenge.
I removed the drop-down outer housing by gently prying the sides of the two pivot pins at the rear. This gave me move 'room' to grip and slightly rotate then pull the old filter forward and away from the tight suction connection. I was concerned that I would be too forceful for the plastic assemblies and would break something; deliberate motions and a steady thought process on the problem helped disengage the darned old filter!
