This unit turns on for a few seconds then shuts down. Few seconds later on then off again. Does not get cold.
For model number MFC05M0BW4
Hi Aggie, thank you for reaching out. It seems that there is a compressor problem. This short cycling is often caused by overheating, electrical issues, or low refrigerant. Specifically, the start relay or start capacitor on the compressor could be faulty. We would suggest checking the start relay, part number PS471681. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

Does not get cold much less freeze
For model number MFC05M0BW4
Hello Andrew and thanks for writing.
A failed condenser fan motor can inhibit freezer cooling because air doesn't move across the condenser coils to cool the refrigerant before the refrigerant enters the evaporator. ... A failed electronic control board or a bad thermistor (also known as the temperature sensor) can also cause your freezer to warm up. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

The freezer door gasket needed to be replaced.
When I received the new gasket I took a blow dryer to it and straightened out the warped areas prior to removing the old gasket. I then looked for a tool to remove the pins holding the gasket in place. I found a butter knife worked the best to get underneath and pry them out. Since this is a chest freezer, the pins in the back of the d

oor were very hard to remove and one of them even broke off as I was removing it. Of course I had no spare pins when I went to put the new gasket in place. The new gasket slid right on and the pins snapped into place with a little bit of HARD pressure. My advice is to make sure that you do the back of the door first, since it is hard to line up the holes and the pins otherwise. It would not have been a difficult repair if not for the pins giving me trouble. There are no instructions sent showing how to do any of this work, so if you are not knowledgeable about gaskets this repair could be a difficult one. Maybe the company could include some basic instructions as a help to their customers.
