The fan assembly or condenser fan blade fits on the motor shaft and circulates air over the condenser. This cools the refrigerant before it enters the evaporator. If the fan assembly in your room air conditioner is not operating properly, you will need to replace it with this part. This fan assembly has 5 blades and is approximately 14-1/2 inches in diameter. It is made of white plastic. You will need to open your air conditioner, and most likely remove it from the wall/window to complete this repair. Be sure to disconnect power to the unit before you begin this repair.

The cross flow fan assembly (or evaporator fan blade) is used to produce an even airflow to keep components from overheating in your air conditioner. If you notice your air conditioner giving off warm air it may be due to the cross flow fan being broken. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically. This part is sold individually and is made of metal. It measures approximately 29 inches long and 4 inches in width. Before working on this part, make sure your house circuit breaker is off and the appliance is unplugged. This is a genuine OEM part that is sourced right from the manufacturer.

If your air conditioner is not blowing cold air, the problem may be in the capacitor. If the capacitor fails, the compressor will not start and the fan will only blow warm air. The compressor and capacitor are located inside the cabinet and to gain access you will need to remove the cover. If the capacitor does not show any visible signs of damage you may require a qualified technician to test it. Make sure that the replacement capacitor has the same specifications as the original. NOTE: Because capacitors carry a charge even when the unit is disconnected from the power, use extra caution when performing this repair.
