LRTPC2031T LG Refrigerator - Overview

I removed the old water valve, disconnected the water tube going in and tube going out to the back of the refrigerator. New water valve bracket different than the previous one which resulted in my having to modify it to fit. Not an easy task as it was preformed metal. My debate is whether or not to purchase a new ice maker or revert to the tried and true method with ice trays which work every time.

I paid for the expedited shipping and they sent me a cheap knockoff attempt at the part that had the wrong size hole. So they refunded me the money I paid for the part but not the shipping, and then I crushed the part they sent me with a hammer and threw it away.

I turned off the water supply. Took off the access panel at the bottom of the fridge. Disconnected the waterlines from the valve. Remove the screw hole in the valve in place install the waterlines on the new valve attach the new valve to the refrigerator, reinstalled the back panel turn on the water And it made ice.
