Fails occasionally. When plugged in, it powers up for a short time and then goes dark. Everything turns off and there are no lights on the front panel.
If I use test mode I can get the compressor to run. After cycling through test modes a few time it works again. One of the issues I have is there is not a compressor relay attached to the compressor like all the diagrams show, but a secondary control board with a cable to the compressor. I’m wondering if it’s the main control board, but since there is a secondary board I’m not sure.

Hello Kurt, thank you for contacting us. The issue you described is probably related to the main control board which is connected to the compressor via a cable. We would recommend replacing the main control board, part number PS3533719. The secondary control board is responsible for managing dispenser functions. Video makes it look easy. Kenmore refrigerator does not have "groove" along the right hand side of switch that allows for pushing down on release. Used a thin screwdriver to get under to push while holding switch edge with pliers. Kept slipping. Tape sides to avoid scratching inside of refrigerator.
