HOW TO RESET TEMP ON UNIT. WAS TURNING DOWN AND IT WENT OFF
Hi Barb, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, to keep the temperature setting from being accidentally changed, the control may be locked. This is done by pressing "Alarm Reset" for 3 seconds. "L" will then appear on display. To unlock the control, press "Alarm Reset" for 3 seconds. For the first two seconds, "U" will appear, and then the current temperature will appear. We hope this is what you were looking for!

The freezer is making a heaving noise but still seems to maintain temp.
The display on the door has a symbol that looks like -1 instead of the normal 0
It has done this before and I moved some of the food away from the cold air vect or return at the top of the box. Sounds like it may be ready to give unp.

Thank you for your question. If the freezer will not start, the capacitor may be malfunctioning and you will need to unplug the freezer from the electrical outlet and check it for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting. The capacitor supplies power to the compressor. When compressor gets hot, the capacitor turns on and starts the compressor so the freezer can start cooling. Before testing the capacitor, unplug it from the start relay. The capacitor carries an electric charge and you will need to discharge it. Use a screwdriver with an insulated handle and place the metal portion of the screwdriver on the terminals for a few seconds to release the charge. Then place the multimeter's probes on the terminals. The reading you should receive will vary from model to model, and may be indicated on the outside of the capacitor, or in your owner’s manual. If your test does not produce the reading the manufacturer recommends, you need a replacement capacitor. If your tests do produce the recommended readings you may have a defective compressor, which will need to be tested by a qualified professional as it is a live circuit test. If the capacitor is fine, then you will likely need to replace the electronic control board. We hope this helps!

... Read morek the gasket itself, but there will be some distortion of the gasket when you get it. Put it in the sun or in hot water. I put it in my dryer for 10 minutes. Remove the old gasket, and start at the top of the door to replace the gasket. TIPS: If the screws are backed out enough, there should not be any problem sliding the back part of the gasket under the cover. When on the sides, do not pull the gasket down to make it easier to slide the gasket underneath the cover. This will distort and lengthen the gasket so it will not fit and thin it out so it will not function well. Once the gasket is in place, tighten the screws being sure to feel along the outside edge of the gasket for any bulging that would indicate that portion of the gasket is NOT under the cover properly.
