Hello Brad, thank you for your inquiry. The blower motor assembly is located on the wall side of the unit. In order to clear the opening, you can follow the following steps. This may not be of exact model but will help you with the process. Make sure to turn off the power supply to the hood. Rotate the access panel down using a flathead screwdriver to loosen the two screws securing the panel. Unthread the screws to release the panel. Remove both grease filters and unthread the screws to release the filter frames. Unthread the screws to release the blower assembly cover. Disconnect the blower assembly wire connector and unthread the screws securing the two upper insulation retaining brackets. Unthread the remaining screws securing the blower assembly and carefully pull the assembly forward to detach it from the vent hood. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
