Hi Mark, thank you for reaching out. First, unplug the unit and turn off the water supply. The ice maker is located inside the ice compartment on the left door behind the bins. Push up on the latch on the left-hand side of the ice compartment to open the door. Once the door is open, disconnect the wires from the ice maker and remove it. We hope this helps!

Removed ice blockage from door and now ice maker won't make ice , WHY ?
For model number KRFC604FSS00
Hello Mark, thank you for your inquiry. According to our research, we would recommend checking the water filter for any clogging. Some time dirty filter prevents ice maker from making ice. Check the door is fully closed. If this does not help, you may need to replace the water inlet valve, part number PS11738056, to fix the issue.
Tray in the ice maker flipped but did not release the ice or reset. Should we replace the ice maker?
For model number KRFC604FSS00
Hello Cathy, Thank you for the question. Normally this indicates the Heater in the Ice Maker is defective and not melting the cubes enough to "unstick" and release from the Ice Maker Tray. The Heater is not sold on its own, so the Ice Maker will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!
