... Read moreglass cooktop approx. 1.5" on all 4 sides. So the cooktop assembly simply sets on the wood pieces on the bottom pan. The glass cooktop has a metal skirt on all 4 sides that simply lifts off the pan after removing 6 torx screws. The back of the glass cooktop skirt does not have screws, just 2 tabs and slots for the tabs, so lift up the front and slide the glass cooktop off of the tabs. Now install the new cooktop glass and done! Easy. I did shut off breaker but did not unwire the cooktop.
