I have one repair man he said it is probably the transformer so I put a new 1 in the stove wpw10111628 / when I plugged the 110 in their was sparks for 1 second at the plug i also noticed the bored went on the front of the stove went crazy. I guess new part I put in is not happy I thank you for trying to help me jack white
For model number KGSS907SSS03

Hi Jack, not sure what happened, I would make sure you received the right part by checking the part number on the transformer. Its possible its another part is causing the issue, like the control board might be faulty. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

My cook top burner igniters do not now work. What do I do? Should the igniter control need replacing? I do not see it in any of the diagrams.
For model number KGSS907SSS03

Hello Richard, thank you for your question! According to our research on your model, make sure the Spark Module, part number PS11753037, is working fine with a multimeter and the electrodes or wire connections are not loose. If it does not help, the issue is probably related to the Surface Ignitor, part number PS11747388. The surface burner igniter produces the spark that lights the surface burner. We hope this helps.

Hydro was working on the power lines. There was some kind of power surge the stove will not work anymore
For model number KGSS907SSS03

Hi Jack, one of the electronic components likely went out. You would need a multimeter to test them. You would be most likely looking at the control board or thermostat. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

Self Cleaning blows the thermostat fuse
Something Kitchen Aid wont tell you but running a self clean on this model stove blows the fuse located on the back of the stove.
First I slid the stove out and removed the back of the stove held in place by 8 Phillips screws. The thermostat fuse is located near the top middle on the back of the stove. Remove the 2 screws holding it in place. Disconnect the wires, plug in the new part. Put it all back together. Job done in less than 30 minutes.
This repair would have cost $164 through A&E factory service.

Power shut down and door lock-up after self-cleaning
My wife used the self cleaning function for the first time after 1.5 years of owning, of course out of warranty. A quick google search identified the problem. Called Kitchenaid, they said of course it can't be that simple, they had never heard of this problem, need to schedule a service call. Googled and found this site, Ordered the part, came in, only took a screwdriver and about 20 minutes, just like all the other posts.
shame on Kitchenaid for not owning up to the problem. I even e-mailed them all the links, they did not acknowledge them.

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
