I am receiving these error codes F8 and E4 on my dishwasher
Hi Lisa, thank you for your inquiry. These error codes indicate the dishwasher has detected water accumulating in the lower drip tray beneath the tub, which has triggered the safety float switch to shut the unit down and run the drain pump continuously to prevent a flood in your kitchen. Open the door and check for a buildup of foam or suds. Using normal dish soap or too much rinse aid causes bubble overflows that spill into the lower drip tray and trip the float switch. If suds are present, let them dissipate completely. Sponge out the excess water, and run a rinse cycle with no detergent. Also, check the door gasket. Open the door completely and take a warm damp cloth or toothbrush to thoroughly clean around the perimeter seal, particularly the bottom left and right hinges. If the dishwasher cannot drain properly, water can back up into the overflow pan. Remove the bottom rack and clean the main mesh filter. Inspect the drain hose behind and under the sink to ensure it is not kinked or clogged. Glad to be of help!

Error code F9 E1, Drain problem. Checked sump, hoses and motor finding no obstructions all the way to the drain installed on the garbage disposal.

Thank you for your question. The F9 E1 error message is letting you know that it is taking longer than 8 minutes for the dishwasher to drain. If you have checked these parts and they are fine, you might have a suds issue. If you are using the wrong type of detergent for your dishwasher, suds and soap residue can build up and prevent the dishwasher from draining. Check your owner's manual and verify the correct detergent to use in your dishwasher. We hope this helps!

I found it best to lay the dishwasher on it's side, this makes it easier to attach a 90 degree hose fitting without cross threading the plastic fitting.
