Microwave completely stopped working
Turned out the issue was easily solved by replacing a single, inexpensive fuse.

First off, UNPLUG THE MICROWAVE.

The fuse is located under the plastic grill at the top of the microwave. It's held on by two screws. Once you've removed the screws and taken off the plastic grill, you go to the right side of the microwave and remove another screw that holds a small metal grill in place. Removing the small metal grill is probably the toughest part of this repair. You kind of have to rock it back and forth a bit to get it to release. Once that's off, you can get to the fuse. I removed the burnt out one with a pair of needle nose pliers. I also put a small piece of cardboard under the fuse when I did this so I didn't accidentally drop it into the innards of the microwave. I did the same thing when I replaced the new fuse. I then plugged the appliance back in and made sure it worked. Once that was confirmed, I replaced both grills.

Outer frame had a crack and needed to be replaced
Had to discover how to do this the hard way, but the 1st thing you need is a blow-up diagram of the door which you can download from GE's website.

Note that all the components in the door save for the 2 handle screws are snap-on.

You will need a screwdriver and a putty knife.

The door assembly is on a simple pivot hinge which you can lift and pull off the microwave, making it easier to work.

On the inside face of the door, locate strip where the outer edge meets the inner door. The plastic strip is about 2" wide and goes all the way around the door. Remove this strip using a putty knife working around it to gently pry it off. Push putty knife into space between plastic strip and outer door panel. This will give access to the 2 handle screws.

Unscrew the screws and remove handle.

Using putty knife and starting at the top edge of the door near the center, gently pry the outer frame from the latching tabs until the frame comes off.

Snap on new frame and working backwards, screw back the handle, then snap back the the plastic strip and rehang your door on the pivot hinge.

Remember the parts are plastic so don't over tighten the screws.
Also remember to clean the outer glass panel inside and outside before snapping on the outer frame or your fingerprints will be on your microwave.

No power to microwave, no heating.
Unpluged power cord!! Removed front control panel to expose electronics (need to remove top horizontal vent cover to expose mounting hardware). Unplugged leads to control panel board. Removed magnetron with Tstat (3- phillip heads, need stubby). Installed new parts and control panel, plugged it in tested. Done.
