i do not know what part is needed? can you explain??? it shows PF most of the time.... yet wall outlet is working well... can lite dimming affect operation?

Hello Sandra, thank you for your question. PF error code on your microwave indicates a power failure. Pressing the cancel button should clear up your problem, and put you back in business. If not, unplug the unit, plug it back in and try the cancel button again. If trouble persists, your Control Board, part number PS11762562, is probably at fault. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Thanks again for your great question.

Microwave had burning odor right after turning on but food was not even hot yet and definitely not burning. Next time the control display went dark when I pressed start. When I unplugged and replugged it showed "PF" on display but entire display went off when I pressed start. Now display does not light at all. Is there a simple and inexpensive fix?
For model number JES1460DS3WW
Hello Judy, thank you for the question. If the microwave shows a PF error code, it means that either your magnetron is going bad and leaking microwaves or the control board itself is bad. You may need to check the electronic control board, part number PS11762562, to fix the issue. We hope this helps!

Microwave completely stopped working
Turned out the issue was easily solved by replacing a single, inexpensive fuse.
First off, UNPLUG THE MICROWAVE.
The fuse is located under the plastic grill at the top of the microwave. It's held on by two screws. Once you've removed the screws and taken off the plastic grill, you go to the right side of the mic ... Read more rowave and remove another screw that holds a small metal grill in place. Removing the small metal grill is probably the toughest part of this repair. You kind of have to rock it back and forth a bit to get it to release. Once that's off, you can get to the fuse. I removed the burnt out one with a pair of needle nose pliers. I also put a small piece of cardboard under the fuse when I did this so I didn't accidentally drop it into the innards of the microwave. I did the same thing when I replaced the new fuse. I then plugged the appliance back in and made sure it worked. Once that was confirmed, I replaced both grills.

Microwave runs with the door open
Remove microwave outer cover. Turn on side & locate the upper & lower door switches. Better to replace in pairs even if one is ok. Remove the wire harness to each switch. Then replace switch and re connect the wire harness. Re attach outer cover
and test to see if that solved the problem. If so then well done!!
