My upper burner exploded, literally it melted into two pieces. When we tried to replace the element we found only one side of the burner was attached to the element. We need to take out the cavity to find the other cable.

Hello KC, thank you for your question. The element replacement is Part #: PS12367464 for the upper element in this unit. To find the other cable, you will have to take the unit out of the cavity and access the wiring from the back. I hope this helps.

Thank you for the previous answer. I actually had purchased the replacement part. I pulled the oven out, found the cable and hooked up the new broiler element. My only problem is it does not heat up. Could you please advise on what i need to trouble shoot to find out what is going on?
    For model number HBL8752UCC
Hello KC, Thank you for your question. Our source suggest checking the temperature sensor under part PS9495617 for your model since that could be causing the element to not heat up correctly. We hope this helps.
