The unit was not measuring water as it went thru.had stuck turbin.

Very easy to put softener in bypass and release pressure by starting a regeneration cycle. Clips removed by hand with no force required. Separate bypass from softener. Removed old turbine and slid new turbine into unit. Reconnect bypass valve and install clips by hand. Return softener to service mode. Unit now shows gal / minute in screen

broken nut on incoming water line to water softener

Just slipped the nut on the trimmed-up water tube and tightened it up with an ajustable wrench. This was my Grandson's first attempt at plumbing, we had unhooked the hot water heater and water softener, moved several galv. water lines some of them took a lot of muscle however we used a little to much on the water softener and broke that n
