It is attached to the engine crankshaft by a key known as a shear pin or flywheel key. This assembly is a critical component in the starting and running of your power equipment. Over time, the magnets on the flywheel will wear down, and the flywheel may chip and crack. A faulty flywheel will result in a loss of power, excessive shaking during use, and difficulty starting the equipment. Remove the flywheel using a flywheel puller. Position the new flywheel on the crankshaft and secure it with the retaining nut and flywheel key. This flywheel is sold as an individual replacement part.

(1)
Part #545154001
This metal ring in your engine, known as the piston ring, seals the gap between the piston and cylinder wall. It makes sure that the gases produced during combustion do not escape and that the engine maintains the pressure it needs to run. If the piston ring is damaged, oil can seep into the combustion chamber, causing your engine to exhibit rough idling and your machine emit blue smoke. To switch out a defective piston ring, detach the old ring from the piston with a screwdriver. When installing the new ring, you may need to compress it to make it fit properly. Please be aware that this genuine OEM replacement part is bought individually. It is recommended that you replace all the piston rings in your machine at once, as they tend to wear down at the same rate. Carefully review your user manual to determine how many rings your machine needs before placing your order.
