To begin the repair, ensure the equipment is switched off, and the fuel tank is drained. Remove the engine housing to access the carburetor. Remove the mounting hardware that secures the carburetor and pull it off the engine. Replace the appropriate gaskets if they are worn down or loose. Place the new carburetor on the engine and install the fasteners to hold it in place. Refill the fuel tank and reassemble the engine housing to complete the repair.

Spark Plug
Part #98079-56846
This is an OEM spark plug designed for engines to ignite the air-fuel mix inside the combustion chamber. This plug is white and silver and made of metal and ceramic materials. Over time the spark plug can become fouled due to a range of reasons including a poor air-to-fuel ratio worn piston rings carbon-build-up and general wear and tear. You can clean a lightly worn spark plug with fine sandpaper and carb cleaner and re-install but generally you are going to have to replace this part often and it is better to replace a fouled plug than try to clean it. If your spark plug is in bad condition you may experience a missed start or a no-start situation. If the engine has 2 or more cylinders you can pull the spark plug wire off to see if the RPMs are dropping due to a miss. On a single cylinder a malfunctioning spark plug is more likely to cause a no-start issue. When replacing the spark plug be sure you torque to the manufacturer specs. Most customers found this repair easy you will just need a spark plug socket.

Part #14441-Z0J-000
This is an exhaust valve rocker arm used for small engines and equipment like pressure washers. Rocker arms transmit motion from a camshaft to valves, controlling valve timing and duration. If your engine struggles to start, misfires, or will not start, inspect the rocker arm(s) for excess play, wear, or bending due to high temperatures. To replace it, disconnect the spark plug and/or starting coil, remove the valve cover, and locate the rocker arm(s). Rotate the camshaft until pistons are up and rocker arms are loose. Slide out the pin, remove the old rocker arm, and install the new one with its pin. Tighten the adjustment screw to the manufacturer specifications, reinstall the spark plug, replace valve cover sealant, and reattach the cover.

Part #16561-Z0L-000
This governor spring regulates the engine speed in your lawn equipment. It works in conjunction with the governor mechanism to control the throttle and prevent the engine from over-revving or running at an excessively low speed. It is commonly found near the throttle assembly. Keep an eye out for signs of wear, damage, or stretching in the spring. If it appears weak, worn, or if you notice engine surging or difficulty maintaining a steady speed, it may indicate a broken governor spring. Before replacing the spring, ensure the engine has cooled down. Remove the wire and boot from the spark plug and turn off the fuel valve. To replace the governor spring, unhook both ends of the old spring while taking note of the connection points. Install the new spring by hooking one end onto the governor lever and the other end onto the control bracket assembly. Once securely attached, turn the fuel valve back on and reattach the spark plug wire and boot. This replacement part is sourced directly from its original equipment manufacturer.
