I called the local GE dealer for repair. The repair person arrived and told me that he could not get the part. The freezer was too old. Then he charged me $60 for coming out. This happened before, when we loose electricity it blows the computer module.
Pull the bad one out. When the new one arrives, unwrap and plug in! That easy! Viola, freezer will now work. Set the temp control as needed.
