I'm a builder. A homebuyer is ready to move in asked if we would convert the range to propane on the range he is bringing from his last home. He provided a bag factory labeled GRLP3 without instructions. I searched online and the search's all come up with GRLP4 as the kit. Do you know if they are the same or do we need the 4

Hello Rick, thank you for contacting us. The GRLP3 and GRLP4 are not exactly alike. The GRLP3 is recommended for ranges with 5 burners equaling a total of 10 orifices and GRLP4 for ranges with 6 burners equaling a total of 12 orifices. For your model, we recommend the GRLP4 conversion kit, PartSelect number PS3633782. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!

Why does the knobs get hot
For model number FGGH3047VFA
PartSelect logo
Hello Chris, thank you for your question! The heat from the oven goes up through the door and raises up into the control panel area with the knob. This can cause the knobs to get very hot. If the door is not sealing up well, it can cause them to get hotter than intended. We recommend checking the door seal, part number PS11700217. Other than that, see if the hinges are too weak and are not pulling the door tight enough, or if everything is normal by Frigidaire standards. We hope this sorts out your problem!

I submitted a question about a griddle to replace the centre rack of my stove top. Your reply was for a griddle which simply sits on top of the grates. Does this mean there is no griddle which is made to fit in the centre grate space?
For model number FGGH3047VFA

Hi Judy, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, your model does not come with the griddle which can be fitted in the center grate space. You may need to place the griddle on the top of the burner grates. We hope this information helps!

Two large burners on range top produc yellow flame, leaving soot on pots and pans
For model number FGGH3047VFA
PartSelect logo
Hello Robert, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, yellow burner flame is a symptom that the burner is not getting enough air for complete combustion of the gas. We would recommend adjusting the burner's air shutter to admit more air. Clean the burner ports or the burner cap if dirty. Make sure that the burner caps are seated properly and clean. We hope this information helps!

Cracked oven door inner glass
Repair was quite easy, as long as you have the instructions for removing the door. The screws that hold the bottom of the door to the fixed hinge are placed into the side of the hinge assembly after removal; this holds the door at a 45 degree angle for easy removal. After that, just place the door on a flat surface and dismantle the door from the inside. The inner glass is contained in a metal frame with another piece of glass; this frame comes apart easily using the clips in each side. The door assembles easily after the glass is replaced; just take your time and give yourself enough room to lay out the parts as you go. Good luck!

Oven wouldn't operated. Error code F9
I called a repair place. They charged $54 to diagnose, (said it needed a new latch motor) then wanted $220 to complete the repair. I checked online prices and did it myself for about 15 minutes work and the latch motor itself ($44?).

Was necessary to uplug the range, pull it away from the wall and remove the back panel sheet metal, then 3 screws that mount the motor. Replace motor, reattach sheet metal. Plug in. Done. Ready to bake cookies.
