7 year old Frigidaire upright freezer. Worked fine until 4 months ago, when red high temp light began flashing, then stayed on. Emptied freezer and it soon regulated itself and light changed to Green. Apparently the vent inside (at the top) had been blocked. Kept vent clear and all was well until a few days ago (january 2020) when same thing happened; red light began flashing, occasionally was Green but now permanently red. Have emptied freezer again, but light remains red. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hello Anne and thank you for writing.
Feel the compressor at the back of the appliance if you can and see if it is hot to touch. As if the red light is on it means the temperature in there is getting warmer so it is warning you there's a problem. Either it has a blockage in the system or a poor pumping compressor PS11770703. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
Recently our freezer warm light has been blinking and staying on. I measured the temperature inside at around 20 degrees fahrenheit. When i took off the inside back panel there was a little ice around the defrost thermostat and the bottom/drain hole were filled with ice. I have since replaced the defrost thermostat and the temperature inside still only gets to around 20. I saw that the freezer evaporator fan motor was spinning. What should i possibly check next?

Hello Chris, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing/replacing the temperature thermistor PartSelect Number: PS977306. You can test the resistance of the Thermistor with a multi meter. There should be a tech sheet behind the bottom front grill indicating what your model refrigerator's Thermistor should test as. We hope this helps!
